Additionally, the Center offers Sea Survival training at a nearby quarry to simulate real-world scenarios in a realistic setting.

This course includes everything in the regular Basic Safety Training course but includes the Sea Survival module to prepare technicians for working offshore.
The Basic Safety Training – Refresher (BST-R) course is designed to reinforce and enhance the essential safety skills required for working in the wind industry. Through a combination of theoretical review and hands-on training, participants will refresh their knowledge in first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, and sea survival. This course ensures individuals remain prepared to protect themselves and others, respond effectively in emergencies, and provide appropriate first aid.
The GWO Sea Survival course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to act safely and responsibly in offshore environments. Through both theoretical and hands-on training, individuals learn how to take preventive actions and respond appropriately during transfers between shore, installation vessels, and wind turbines—whether during routine operations or emergencies in the offshore wind industry.
The GWO Wind Limited Access course provides essential safety training for individuals who occasionally visit onshore or offshore wind turbine sites. Designed for those working under the supervision of at least two GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certified personnel, this course covers the minimum safety requirements needed to ensure a safe and compliant visit to wind turbine environments.
