Colleges and universities generally have an office dedicated to helping students understand their options and find and apply for financial aid. Contact the institution’s financial aid office as soon as you find a program you’re interested in. They can provide advice and counseling for your situation. Additionally, you can visit the Federal Student Aid website to guide you through applying for FAFSA and how to find and combine different types of aid. 

MHC Academic Foundation (formerly known as the New College Foundation): Provides scholarships designed to encourage enrollment at the Center, increase the college attendance rate in the community, and help make college affordable. 

Department of Aging & Rehabilitative Services: May cover up to 100% of training costs for individuals who meet eligibility and enrollment criteria. 

Get Skills, Get a Job, Get Ahead (G3): This statewide initiative provides an opportunity for any Virginian to earn a college credential that meets critical employer demands. G3 is a limited pool of funds and will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis as eligibility is determined. 

Virginia Tobacco Indemnification & Community Revitalization Commission Scholarship: Covers up to 12 credits per semester for eligible programs of study at Patrick & Henry Community College. 

Patrick & Henry Community College Foundation: P&HCC Foundation Scholarships are financial awards to students on the basis of grades, community service or other requirements set forth by individual scholarship donors. 

Danville Community College Foundation: DCC Foundation provides scholarships to DCC students from its numerous endowed funds. 

New Economy Workforce Credentials Grant Program (NEWCGP): Funding available from the Commonwealth of Virginia allowing up to two-thirds of program costs to be covered for trainees in eligible programs. 

Harvest Foundation SEED Fund: SEED Funds are available to all graduating high school students, GED recipients, and homeschool completers in Martinsville and Henry County with up to two years of tuition at P&HCC free of charge.
