Having the opportunity to earn my degree locally through the Center was a tremendous blessing. Because my preferred learning style requires assigned time dedicated to school, the traditional online learning options would not offer the structure I needed to be successful. Pursuing the degree at Radford, in partnership with the Center, was the best solution for my goal of having my Masters.

I recently completed the fiber optic training course at the Center and earned my Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. The course was comprehensive, well-structured, and delivered in a way that made complex concepts easy to understand.

With many responsibilities competing for my time, going back to school would be challenging. And then I learned about an amazing opportunity to receive a master’s degree via a weekend cohort over 2 years from Averett University with the Center. The schedule fit perfectly into my life, and I was grateful to have this option available to our community. Two years later I graduated with my master’s degree in education.

Attending the Center provided me with a unique opportunity to earn my degree while remaining deeply rooted in my community. This experience not only enriched my understanding of education but also fostered valuable connections with fellow educators and community leaders. The knowledge and skills gained through my degree program have been instrumental in advancing my career, enabling me to effectively lead and innovate within my school.
